January 9 – Board Meeting,
6:00pm, Alma Town Hall
January 25 - Trail maintenance on the Tie Hack
Trail.
Meet at 9:30am at the Forest Service office in
Fairplay or be ready to start snow shoeing at
10:00am at the Tie Hack Trailhead (County Road 18)
We will be working with the Forest Service to clear
the blow down from the November wind storm. We will
be clearing the trees on approximately half of the
trail – about 2.5 miles. Forest Service personnel
will man the chain saws and we will be clearing the
branches and logs from the trail. Plan on a 4-5 hour
day. Bring water, snacks, lunch, sunglasses and
sunscreen. Dress appropriately and bring your winter
gear (an extra pair of gloves, thermos with a hot
drink, goggles, balaclava, wind/snow pants and
jacket, etc.)
February 9 -- MRHI Adventure Series presents: An
evening with Avalanche Rescue Dogs. 7:00pm, Alma
Town Hall. Meet the dogs, learn how they are
trained, and how they are able to find people buried
under feet of snow.
March 3 – Poker Glide on Aspen Alley with lunch and
prizes immediately following at the Alma Town Hall.

May 18 - MRHI Annual Meeting, 5:00pm, Location to be

July 7 - Wendy’s Wildflowers, MRHI is joining with
the Alma Foundation for the 4th annual Wendy’s
Wildflowers noxious weed pull and wildflower seed
planting, 9:00am-12:00pm, Alma Town Park. Meet at
the Alma Town Park at 9:00am.
July 9 - Board Meeting, 6:00pm, Alma Town Hall
July 21 – 22 – MRHI at the Alma Festival of the
Clouds
August 5 – MRHI noxious weed pull.
September 10 - Board Meeting, 6:00pm, Alma Town Hall
September 16 – The ‘Tour de Fairplay’, Mountain Bike
Poker Ride moves to the Alma area this year.

Kids Biking Categories for ages preschool and up
Fun prizes, snacks and drinks for the kids.
How it works: Start pedaling your bike on your
selected route. Pick up a poker card at each
designated rest stop. Build your poker hand…Best and
worst hand at the finish line wins the $$! Prizes
awarded at lunch.
The courses: We have a number of routes from which
to choose – from easy to advanced. Detailed route
instructions and maps will be available at
registration.
$25 per Rider – $15 for MRHI Members – $10 for
Children (13 and under)
Entry fee includes lunch and a memorable t-shirt!

September 29 - 6th Annual Moonwalk, Alma Cemetery,
7:30pm.
Alma Buckskin Cemetery Moonwalk - Take a
historic walk and listen to the tales of days gone
by!
Hot chocolate, cider and cookies served
Children will receive a small gift
