PHOTO Contest Open: MRHI Calendar 2027

Send us your beautiful pics!

Did you catch an awesome photo this past year in the Mosquito Range? Share it and get bragging rights...while helping MRHI raise funds for meaningful conservation work.

MRHI is seeking photos taken within our broad Mosquito Range study area (extending through much of Park County from Hoosier Pass to Weston Pass and from Kenosha Pass to Trout Creek Pass). Thirteen great shots will be chosen to create our 2027 calendar. Each photographer whose photo is chosen will receive a MRHI membership and a free calendar.

Preference is given to photos that promote our mission of conserving unique natural areas, historic and cultural sites, and promoting diverse recreation in the Mosquito Range.

With your photo submission please include the title and location of the photo, your name, email, address, and phone number. Entries may be emailed to info@mrhi.org or mail a CD to: MRHI, PO Box 375, Alma CO 80420. Submit entries by
 May 1, 2026.

Cost of submission is $5/photo, $10/3 photos or $25/10 photos. Please make checks payable to "MRHI" with a notation that it is a calendar photo submission. PayPal or Venmo also accepted.

GUIDELINES
Photographers are asked to submit entries as digital files. All digital files must be 10 MB or smaller, and must be in JPEG or JPG format. Photos should be high resolution of at least 300 DPI with dimensions of 8x11 inches landscape/horizontal. Typically this requires an 8 megapixel or better camera. Please don’t downsize files any more than necessary to meet the 10 MB file size. Be aware that some email programs will downsize images automatically. If you think you have a great photo that is less than 300 DPI, we can attempt to interpolate and increase the resolution. This may or may not produce a usable image so do not rely on this method.

RULES
No photos will be considered outside our conservation areas of focus (local landscapes, wildflowers, mountain wildlife, etc). Photos must be in landscape or horizontal mode (NO SQUARES). If a check is received for photos outside the study area, the money will NOT be returned but instead be considered a donation.
If we do not receive payment by May 16, 2026, submitted photos will not be considered.

LICENSE
By submitting a photo, all entrants grant an irrevocable, perpetual, nonexclusive license to MRHI, to reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works of the entries (along with a name credit) in connection with the photo submission and promotion of the photo submission, in any media now or hereafter known.

Thanks for supporting our conservation efforts with another stunning Mosquito Range calendar!
